The view from the monument is beautiful and along the way you will pass by Kotel (Cauldron), which offers a truly breath-taking view. Vrbatova bouda is a nice place for a short break and tea before continuing on to Labská or possibly to Medvědín and Mísečky.

Hanč and Vrbata are probably the most famous victims of the Krkonoše Mountains. Their tragic story is well known and has occurred again and again: help was so close and yet so far away. The name of the SKIALP apartment building celebrates Rokytnice nad Jizerou as the mecca of Czech ski mountaineering. Local landmarks such as Lysá hora, the Kotel peak and other places offer many nice trips – from those for ski mountaineering beginners, which run along the slopes, to more demanding tours along the ridges of the Krkonoše Mountains. The individual apartments in the Skialp building are named after interesting places that can be visited on ski tours of the area.
